McGreevy took his maiden Superstock 600 win at Knockhill last season so, as he heads into this weekend, all eyes are on him. His aim will be to repeat last year’s success and score crucial championship points.

McGreevy had a mixed bag on the opening day of the Knockhill round of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship. Suffering a small crash in FP1 and finishing his FP2 session in 2nd position.

McGreevy’s FP1 session was hampered by a small lowside crash on the exit of Clark’s corner but thankfully there was minimal damage to his Triumph. Most importantly McGreevy walked away from the incident unscathed and ready to regroup for FP2. Despite this setback he finished the FP1 session in 11th position, having set a time of 52.022s, which put him 1.1s off the fastest time set.

The Century Racing team worked over the period between FP1 and FP2 to ensure McGreevy had the best bike possible for the FP2 session. Due to his morning crash McGreevy was tentative heading into the FP2 session. McGreevy settled in and managed a fastest time of 50.775s, just 0.030s off the fastest time set.

McGreevy finished Day 1 at Knockhill more than a second quicker than he started, which is a fantastic base to work from for tomorrows qualifying session.

Qualifying tomorrow is 12:40pm, you can follow the session using this link - https://www.tsl-timing.com/event/192604
